My personal views on Spirituality

I struggled with the concept of spirituality and the church all of my life I thought to be spiritual I needed to go to church and I stayed away from it due to my thoughts that were passed onto me by family. The wrath of god stuff was the view that I had in my head, also I found church to be the most boring place to be, the dreary songs that I had to sing also kept me away from church. I t wasn't until I was 30 that I had an awakening actually through a church by the name of The Salvation army that I saw that all churches are not like that and that it had changed somewhat since I'd been to a church. The music was hip and uplifting like I had never heard before and hence that was the starting point of my spiritual journey, it has been 9 years since I started this journey and I will be traveling on this journey for the rest of my life and the biggest thing on this journey that I have learnt so far is that I can only control what I do and not anybody else, because when I try to control other people my life spin's out of control and there is no balance.
